10,000 year old clock: 42 anybody?

A model of the 10,000 year old clock.

I recently stumble on a project Jeff Bezos, Billionaire founder of Amazon.com is funding. Pretty cool if you ask me, and something sorely needed! No, we don’t need a clock that tracks time for 10,000 years, but the idea of prioritizing legacy and long-term impact is something which humans have yet to live by. If this project accomplishes that, fantastic! No, I’m not saying live for the future… Live for the now in such a way that honors the future, the now, and the future are NOT mutually exclusive. Please visit these links for more information on the clock. The Wired article is very long, but is totally worth it! If you have to read it in multiple instances, please do that.
