Weather-Pendant Mayhaps: Poem

Shall we abandon…
our dubious chores
for a love-glide…
on the sinuous back
of a mountain pass?

mayhaps, mayhaps,
pending weather of course.
for monies and bread
are for grown-ups
who are riders not

Order and structure
my thoughts know not,
I dabble in free-verse,
or no verse what-not
musings of mayhaps

Curses to old man,
his winter gray beard,
and white foggy eyes,
let  vibrant Summer-san
take the reigns for a bit

We want to play,
without reigns,
extra layers restricting
the caressing touch
of kissing the apex.

mayhaps, mayhaps,
may tomorrow yield,
bumbling buttery blooming
beatific blunders
of ecstasy in the saddle.

tires screaming on the road,
engines thrumming in time,
laughter, giggles and jest,
friendships born and lost,
just let us play!

Huddled indoors,
staring at an LCD,
real life awaits outside,
in tempered drudgery,
let the sun come!

Mayhaps, mayhaps, mayhaps,
weather-pendent mayhaps,
let us ride
be free to fondle
every curve, today.
